Getting Started

Set up your first Lumicrowd show in minutes.

Prerequisites

  • Staff account with Admin or Operator role
  • Lighting desk with Art-Net or sACN output
  • Network connection between desk and Lumicrowd middleware

Step 1: Create a Stadium Layout

Navigate to Stadiums in the staff portal and create a new layout:

  1. Click "Create in designer"
  2. Define zones (e.g., Front Left, Front Center, Front Right)
  3. Add rows and seats per zone
  4. Save the stadium layout

Step 2: Create a Concert

Go to Concerts and create a new concert:

  1. Enter concert name and date
  2. Select the stadium layout you created
  3. Note the generated join code (e.g., "FLARE23")

Step 3: Configure DMX

In Config, set up DMX mapping:

  • Protocol: Art-Net or sACN
  • Universe: DMX universe number
  • RGB Channel Start: First channel for color (Red = this, Green = +1, Blue = +2)
  • Zone Channel Start: First channel for zone gates
  • Thresholds: On/Off values for zone activation

Step 4: Start the Show

When ready:

  1. Set concert status to LIVE
  2. Share the join code with your audience (QR codes, screens, tickets)
  3. Monitor connections in Live Control
  4. Control effects and DMX filters from the dashboard
