Privacy & Data Processing

Lumicrowd is designed to keep audience participation lightweight and privacy-aware. This page explains what data is processed, why it is processed, and how to contact us with privacy questions.

1. What this page covers

This page applies to website visitors, audience participants in Lumicrowd-powered events, and staff users of the Lumicrowd platform.

2. What data Lumicrowd processes

Audience event participation

When someone joins an event, Lumicrowd may process short-lived session data such as a session identifier, seat or zone assignment, event identifier, and limited device-derived pseudonymous data needed to keep seat claims and live delivery working correctly.

Help requests during events

If a participant requests help, Lumicrowd may process the related concert identifier, seat identifier, session identifier, request status, and optional issue text so event staff can respond.

Post-show reviews

If a participant submits a review, Lumicrowd may process the rating, optional review message, concert identifier, and a pseudonymous device-derived identifier used for duplicate-prevention and abuse protection.

Staff access

For the protected staff portal, Lumicrowd may process staff account identifiers such as staff email, role information, and authentication-related metadata.

Website, logging, and monitoring

Lumicrowd also processes limited website, operational, logging, and monitoring data needed to keep the platform secure, reliable, and available.

3. Why this data is processed

  • to let audience members join and participate in live events
  • to maintain seat integrity and reduce misuse
  • to support help requests during events
  • to collect quality feedback after events
  • to protect staff-only access and platform operations
  • to monitor reliability, uptime, and performance

4. Data minimization

Lumicrowd is intentionally designed without public audience accounts. Audience participation is largely session-based and pseudonymous, which helps reduce the amount of directly identifying data the platform needs to store.

5. Retention

Lumicrowd aims to keep privacy-relevant data only as long as operationally necessary.

  • viewer sessions are short-lived and automatically expire
  • help requests are deleted after a limited retention window
  • raw review-linked identifiers and free-text review data are anonymized after a limited retention window
  • logs and metrics are retained under operational retention limits

6. External providers

Lumicrowd may rely on infrastructure and platform providers for functions such as staff authentication, asset storage, hosting, and monitoring. Those providers are used to operate the platform and are reviewed as part of Lumicrowd's security and privacy work.

7. Privacy requests

If you have a privacy question or want to make a privacy-related request, contact:

info@lumicrowd.be

To help locate relevant records, please include where possible the event name or join code, date, approximate time, and whether your request concerns staff access, event participation, support, or a review.

8. Important limitation for audience data

Because Lumicrowd minimizes direct audience identification, some viewer-related requests may require additional context before records can be located. In some cases, relevant records may already have expired, been deleted, or been anonymized under the platform's retention rules.
